Our mission is to produce graduates with a good general education, a competent command of the English and Chinese language, a broad knowledge of mechanical engineering, and a special understanding of one of its sub-field. Thus prepared, our graduates can meet and, perhaps, master the changing technological challenges of the 21st Century. This goal is accomplished by having forward looking mechanical engineering curricula, by placing emphasis on new technologies especially those that could impact on teaching and research, and by conducting applied and basic research to push the frontier of knowledge ahead in order to serve Hong Kong and its surrounding region. |
